Thank You For The Valentine Treats!
We had a really fun Valentine's celebration on the 14th! Thank you to those who sent in treats for the class and also for the teachers!
Saxon Math Homework
Thanks again for your continued help with the math homework! Please make sure that this work is done in PENCIL (except for problems that ask for crayon), and that when a "corrected by" signature is asked for, the person signs their name "like they would sign their checks". This means an actual signature. This will also help reinforce the important character trait of "honesty".

Snow Day -February 17 th
Yuck...freezing rain! In my book, that is the worst type of weather! But now I notice that my kitchen thermometer is reading 41 degrees!
Due to our snow day today, Tuesday Memory Work will be postponed until Wednesday. That is the only change to our schedule that I am making at this time.
With probable warmer temps as the week goes on, it is possible that we may be able to get out on the parking lot for recess in the mornings. Please send an extra pair of pants or cover up snow pants to school in a sack that your child can keep on their hook in case we can go outside. With the melting snow, the lot will be wet, and although we stress to them to be careful, sometimes somebody slips and ends up wet!
Thanks! Hope to see everyone on Tuesday!

Snow Day February 6th/ February 7th News and Notes
Schedule To Stay The Same!
Due to our lack of school days this week, I will basically be running the same schedule next week. Reading stories and spelling lists will remain the same. We also will continue to take a break from Memory Work as we try to regroup. Please look for further information to be coming as far as the rescheduling of the Book Fair and other Lutheran Schools' Week events that were missed
Valentines Day
Valentines Day is next Friday! Below is a list of children in our classroom. This list will be helpful as children are working on their valentine cards. Please make sure that each child brings a card for every member of the class. Also keep in mind that we have a severe peanut allergy in the classroom if you wish to send a treat as well. Please let the kids fill out their own valentines, as this provides a good chance for handwriting and spelling practice! We will begin our Valentine's Party at 1:00 Friday afternoon. If kids would wish to bring their cards early, I can store them until the day of the party. Thanks!

Snow Day - February 5th
Hello everyone! I hope the kids are getting some extra rest and also some play time in the snow! I did make a comment that I wouldn't mind hibernating until March, but I wasn't really serious! : )
Here are some adjustments that we will make this week, provided we can get back to school tomorrow (Thursday):
*Reading homework (soft book) will come home Friday evening. Please read with your child over the weekend, and return to school on Monday.
*For Spelling on Friday, we will play a game with this week's words instead of having a formal test.
I know that I was disappointed when we were unable to take our trip to QCT to see "Seussical The Musical" on Tuesday. The Box Office said that if the students would like to see the show during its run this coming weekend, they would honor the $2 ticket price for them. Anyone else attending with them would still pay the $12 regular admission price. Please see their website and/or call the Box Office for ticket details.
As far as I know, the Book Fair scheduled for tomorrow evening will go on as planned, as well as Grandparent's Day/Special Person's Day activities on Friday.
Stay warm and safe!
Love and Blessings,
Mrs. Bradshaw
