Our Easter Break will begin on Thursday, April 2nd.  We will return to school on Tuesday, April 7th.

Book It! for March
Please return completed forms to school by Wednesday of next week.  Thank you to all who participated in this program!  Not only do students get extra reading practice, but several yummy pizzas were enjoyed as well.

Classroom Distractions
As stated in the school handbook, "children are not to bring toys or similar articles to school unless requested to do so by the teacher.  Items such as water guns, jewelry, hair accessories, other electronic items, and the like which might be dangerous, or have damaging effects will be collected and retained by the teacher."  Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Spelling
We will not be having a spelling list next week.  Instead, we will be working on a writing project to help us wrap up Unit 4.

March 13th News and Notes

First Grade Items Needed
For upcoming Math lessons, we will be building a classroom "grocery store".  I would like to have each first grader bring in one empty food box or container that we can use for this project.  Please have these items at school by Wednesday of this week.

Second Grade Item Needed
Since second graders are working out of two classrooms, we are having some issues with school supplies.  It would be helpful if each second grader could bring one new eight count box of crayons.  They can keep this box downstairs, and also have crayons upstairs in their pencil boxes. Please send this new box to school by Friday of this week.

Thanks in advance for your help on these projects!

By Thursday, she had another egg, and we were lucky enough to see the mom and dad switch places in the nest!  This camera offers a live feed of the eagle family in Decorah, Iowa 24/7...see the link above marked "Eagle Cam"!
